One-On-One BioMechanics Training

Our training is dedicated to using results based, scientifically driven techniques to improve your unique set of pain and movement challenges. With dedication you will intrinsically change the way you hold tension in your body and change the way you move on a subconscious level. When you move great, you feel great!

We begin by assessing your relaxed posture. Take a look at some of these “passive” pictures of our clients have generously allowed us to use. In the “befores” on the left, look for places where you see “compressions” where the body looks pulled down or pinched and see how in the “afters” the body seems lifted and lengthened in those places. Also, look for mis-alignments and then find the ways in which the body shifts to have more evenness and stacking from one photo to the other. It takes some practice to see the complexities present in human posture and we’ll encourage you to study your own posture so that you can better understand your healing process.

We also assess your walking and running, gait, which is essentially dynamic posture. All of the passive tensions tugging your body out of effective alignment are revealed as you move through space. Check out Everett’s video further down…

Pain-Full to Pain-Free

Imagine what it would feel like to emerge into the full movement potential your human body holds. Your body has evolved over millions of years for very specific functions, the movements that made our ancestors successful. We stand on two legs, freeing up our hands for tools and setting our eyes on the horizon. We can walk and run great distances, relying on a cardiovascular system that we can consciously control with our breath. We can throw accurately to fend off predators and take down our prey. 

All of these functions are your evolutionary heritage, however, our modern lifestyle places very different stressors on our bodies, often resulting in inefficient movement, chronic pain and recurring injury. Biomechanics training seeks to identify our degenerated movement patterns, unravel them and regenerate our capacity for our essential human functions. 

Here we see Everett’s running form transform from bent over and stompy to upright and floaty. His arms are now powering his strides, connecting through his torso and all the way down to his hips, to help swing his legs through each stride. In 2017, despite being a “movement coach” he woke up every morning with pain in his lower back and feet – it hurt even to pick up his infant daughter. Now in 2019, after two years of biomechanics training, he rolls out of bed and barely notices his body, ready to wrangle his toddler and a new infant daughter! He still has a long way to go but he feels the potential and that is why he’s dedicated his career to  and helping others reclaim their ability to live without pain.
